Cher’s Son Chaz Bono Gets Married at 57 – Details
Their lives went in different directions over the years, but fate brought them back together. The two eventually reconnected and made their relationship official in January 2017.

Looking back on their journey, Chaz reflected on how rare their story truly is.
“I first met Shara more than 40 years ago when we were just teenagers,” he shared. “I think it’s safe to say that not many grooms ultimately end up marrying the very first girl they ever kissed so many years later.”
He added another heartfelt thought about what the relationship means to him:
“She makes me feel complete knowing she will always be there beside me as partner, my best friend, and the love of my life. No matter what life brings us, we will always be safer and stronger together … and we are home.”
A Glamorous Ceremony With Cher in the Front Row
For the wedding, Chaz wore a classic tuxedo paired with a black bow tie and a purple calla lily boutonnière, while Shara walked down the aisle in a long-sleeved lace wedding gown.
She styled her dark hair in loose curls and carried a dramatic bouquet filled with deep purple orchids and other richly colored flowers.
The aisle was equally striking, lined with glowing red candles and dark floral arrangements that created a romantic atmosphere.
Watching from the front row was Chaz’s mother, now 79. As the couple reached the end of the aisle, they sealed the moment with a romantic dip that delighted the guests.
Cher shares Chaz with her late former husband, Sonny Bono. She is also the mother of Elijah Allman, 49, whose father is her late ex-husband, Gregg Allman.
